Circularity
As humanity, we currently consume more resources than the world can handle annually. The energy transition can provide a solution to this problem. By focusing on a fully circular chain from the outset, raw materials are no longer lost but are reused at the end of their technical lifespan. However, this requires a turnaround from industry & government in their thinking and actions.
This transition getting things done requires vision, guts and leadership. In short, direction. With our broad knowledge of circularity within the energy sector, we take the lead and bring the Netherlands up to the targets in time.
What we do
For years, our circularity experts have been engaged in state-of-the-art research and consulting for a variety of clients on these pressing issues. The best-known example of this is the creation of The Circular Wind Hub. From a request from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate (EZK), we activated and mobilized the chain to work towards a circular wind industry. With our expertise on the topic of circularity and the Circular Wind Hub community, we are accelerating the circular chain transition.

Why we are concerned with circularity
Reduced use of primary resources by 2030 compared to 2016. Op weg naar een volledig circulaire economie in 2050 is dit tussendoel gesteld door de Nederlandse overheid.
Circulaire economie in 2050. Een economie waarin zoveel mogelijk duurzame hernieuwbare grondstoffen worden gebruikt, producten en grondstoffen worden hergebruikt en waarin afval niet bestaat, dat is het doel van Nederland.
Partners in de Circular Wind Hub. De grootste community van mensen die werkt aan het verhogen en versnellen van circulariteit in de windsector.
Sustainable Development Goal 12 Responsible Consumption & Production Duurzame productie en consumptie, richt zich op een efficiënter gebruik van grondstoffen. Dit verlaagt de druk op het milieu en vermindert de afhankelijkheid van die grondstoffen.

The Circular Wind Hub
In opdracht van het ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat heeft ECHT de hele windindustrie gemobiliseerd om holistisch te werken aan de transitie naar volledige circulariteit.
The Circular Wind Hub bestaat uit een drietal fases. Van (1) mobilisatie (het Moonshot project), (2) uitwerking in circulaire hubs en werkgroepen tot (3) het uitvoeren van projecten.
