Step by step, we have built knowledge, gained practical experience and developed tools that help make circularity a practical reality for the offshore wind sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our journey towards ECHT Asset Identity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>2021 \u2013 Moonshot Award (Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy):<\/strong> the starting point of our circular innovation for the wind energy sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2022 \u2013 Circular Wind Hub:<\/strong> the launch of a European digital platform supporting organisations in the transition towards a fully circular wind energy sector.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2024 \u2013 Circular Wind Guide:<\/strong> the development of an open-access knowledge platform featuring 18 practical strategies for circular design, construction, operation and decommissioning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2026 \u2013 Decommissioning Roadmap for Windpark Zeewolde:<\/strong> providing insight into wind turbine decommissioning, material flows and circular processing opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All of this knowledge, experience and expertise has now been brought together in <strong>ECHT Asset Identity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is ECHT Asset Identity?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ECHT Asset Identity is a digital material passport that records every asset and individual component:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>which materials have been used;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>where those materials originate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the associated CO\u2082 footprint; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the most suitable circular processing route at the end of the asset\u2019s lifecycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The software has been developed in accordance with the UPCM Material Passport Guideline and is EU Digital Product Passport-ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ECHT Asset Identity enables organisations to demonstrate compliance with circular tender criteria while simultaneously providing valuable insights for asset management, material management and future reuse opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The platform can be applied to wind turbines, foundations, cables and other infrastructure assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ECHT Asset Identity not only supports organisations participating in new offshore wind tenders, but also helps existing wind farms and asset owners gain a clear understanding of their material inventory, material origin and high-value reuse opportunities at the end of an asset\u2019s lifecycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result, ECHT Asset Identity is more than a compliance tool, it provides a foundation for future-proof asset management and a truly circular value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Interested in learning what ECHT Asset Identity can do for your organisation?
